Amanda Outhouse receives special recognition at College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Spring Convocation ceremony

Amanda Outhouse, graduating with a degree in animal science from #IowaState, was given the leadership excellence award.

This award is given to a graduating senior based on involvement within clubs and organizations while at Iowa State.

While at Iowa State, Amanda has served as the vice president of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council, held an officer position on Block and Bridle, was an undergraduate research assistant for Science with Practice, and served as a peer mentor for the ACES learning community, among other things.

Next, Amanda will be attending graduate school at Iowa State University to further study meat science and muscle biology under Dr. Steven Lonergan.

Awards are given by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council and presented at the college convocation ceremony.
