Annette Payne receives special recognition at College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Fall Convocation event

2016 Dec 12

Annette Payne, graduating with a degree in Agricultural and Life Sciences Education: Communications Option from Iowa State University, was named the outstanding ambassador of agriculture. This award is given to a student showing exceptional effort in building a connection between the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the community.

In her time at Iowa State, Nettie has been involved in Bacon Expo, Collegiate FFA, and Sigma Alpha, as well as giving her time to other organizations in the area.

“Nettie has given the max during her time at Iowa State,” said Trey Forsyth, 2016 CALS Council President. “However,” he continued, “her greatest pride comes from serving as a role model to those in her hometown of the rewards that can be received for hard work and dedication.”

Awards are given by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Student Council and presented at the college convocation event December 17, 2016 beginning at 9:30 am in CY Stephens Auditorium.
