Drew Mogler receives special recognition at College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Spring Convocation event.

Drew Mogler, graduating with a degree in agricultural business from Iowa State University, was given the leadership excellence award. This award is given to a graduating senior based on involvement within clubs and organizations while at Iowa State.

In his time at Iowa State, Mogler has served as a member of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Dean’s Student Advisory Committee, and Vice President of CALS Council. He has participated in numerous clubs including Agricultural Business Club and the Student Federation for Agriculture. Additionally, he has studied abroad in Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Kenya through college programs.

Trey Forsyth, 2016 president of CALS Council, said “Drew is passionate about telling the story of agriculture. He has dedicated the past four years of his life to making the college better as well as growing the opportunities for his peers and future students as only a true leader would take time to do.”

Awards are given by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council and presented at the college convocation event May 7, 2016 beginning at 8:30 am in Hilton Coliseum.
