Edan Lambert receives CALS Council Senior Award

2018 Apr 20

Edan Lambert, graduating with a degree in Animal Science from Iowa State University, received the Outstanding Senior award from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Student Council. This award recognizes an individual who encompasses efforts in service, leadership, and scholarship.

During her Iowa State career, Lambert has been active in Block & Bridle Club, served on the Homecoming Central Committee, and was president of CALS Student Council. She is a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, a Vermeer International Leadership Program Scholar and is a member of Gamma Sigma Delta – the honor society of agriculture. Lambert has also been involved in the blood drive at Iowa State University, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and Be The Match, though which she matched as a bone marrow donor.

“Edan has given selflessly of herself and her time in order to organize events, create new opportunities, and improve the campus climate for her fellow students,” said Lambert’s adviser Dr. Jodi Sterle, associate professor in animal science. “She is the definition of a servant leader who truly leads by example and inspires everyone around her to be a better person.”

Award recipients will be recognized at the college convocation event May 4, 2018 beginning at 10:00 am in Hilton Coliseum. Presenting the award on behalf of council will be the 2018 CALS Council President, Alex Brand, and Vice President, Wes Reever.
