Emily Koppang named Louise Rosenfeld Undergraduate Research Intern

Emily Koppang, a student studying apparel, merchandising, and design, has been selected into the Louise Rosenfeld Undergraduate Research Internship Program in the Iowa State University College of Human Sciences.

Koppang, from Saint Charles, Illinois, will work with Fatma Baytar, an assistant professor of apparel, merchandising, and design, this fall to research personal protective technologies for occupational and environmental hazards. Koppang is one of 12 students to receive this prestigous honor for the upcoming summer or fall.

The Louise Rosenfeld Undergraduate Research Internship Program is designed to provide research experience to undergraduate students in the College of Human Sciences while they contemplate the possibility of study towards an advanced degree. The program offers interns exceptional opportunities such as working with faculty and learning how to conduct research in their academic fields.
