Fritz contributes to Iowa State Agronomy Club success at SASES

Katelyn Fritz represented the Iowa State University Agronomy Club at the Students of Agronomy, Soils & Environmental Sciences (SASES) meeting on Oct. 20-25 in Tampa.

The meeting offered a variety of contests for students to show off skills, research, and club activities. In addition, new officers for the undergraduate student organization were elected.

In addition to placing 2nd in the Internship Poster contest, Katelyn was elected president of SASES.

Iowa State students and teams placed 1st in several contests and current Iowa State students were elected to 3 of the 5 organization officer positions for next year.

SASES is an undergraduate student program of the Soil Science Society of America (SSSA) with the American Society of Agronomy (ASA) and Crop Science Society of American (CSSA). Students in college or university clubs throughout North America with intrests in agronomy, crops, soils, plant science, or environmental science are allowed to be members.
