Haley Banwart receives award at College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Fall Convocation.

Haley Banwart, graduating with a degree in agricultural & life sciences education - communications from Iowa State University, was given the leadership excellence award at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences December 19 convocation. This award is given to a graduating senior based on involvement within clubs and organizations while at Iowa State.

While at Iowa State, she founded and was editor of CALS Connections, and has served in leadership roles on multiple committees and clubs. Haley was a role model as a peer mentor for the Department of Agricultural Education and Studies, as well as a Destination Iowa State leader.

Trey Forsyth, 2016 president of CALS Council, said of Banwart, "she is a phenomenal leader in all that she does."

Awards are given by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council (CALS Council) and presented at convocation each semester.
