Iowa State University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences names Morgan Isaac ambassador for 2016-2017 academic year

2016 Sep 12

The Iowa State University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is proud to announce the 2016-2017 student ambassadors who will be representing the college at recruitment events like Experience Iowa State, Open Option visits, and other student-centered activities throughout the year. Morgan Isaac, New Virginia, IA was selected to represent the college.

The purpose of the ambassador program is to have current students share their firsthand experiences with people who are considering attending Iowa State University. The firsthand experience that students offer is valuable to the College of LAS and through this role, students have the opportunity to work with a broad variety of people while developing confidence and skills in public speaking and initiating conversations.

"From my perspective it's really fun to see students grow in leadership and in their confidence. Their comfort level of how they interact with other people grows and they often take on other leadership in organizations like becoming Cyclone Aides or tour guides," Recruitment Coordinator Kathy Houseman said.

The 2016-2017 ambassadors are Catherine Thompson, Jake Neerland, Jaleel Chandler, Jeane Robles, Jessica Coulter, Lindsey Hildebrand, Madisyn McCarville, Melissa Moy, Michael Cox, Alina Lu, Amanda Holloway, Cassidy Conway, Celine Robles, Haley Beckner, Ian Steenhoek, Jessica Enwesi, Kacey Konrad, Lauren Sikora, Megan Rogers, Morgan Isaac, Sarah Young, Sydney McLaughlin, Taylor Schumacher, Zoey Shipley, Grace Ansah, Paige Zardzin, and Samantha Ege.
