Katerina Herzberg receives award at College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Fall Convocation.

Katerina Herzberg, graduating with a degree in biology from Iowa State University, was given the award for academic achievement at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences December 19 convocation. This award recognizes a student for their cumulative GPA, scholarships received, Honors received at ISU, as well as the number of semesters on the Dean’s List.

While at Iowa State, she has worked in labs, researching brain injuries, muscular dystrophy, and virus ecology in addition to volunteering. Katerina was a member of the Iowa State Marching Band, served as a teaching assistant, and participated in the Dean’s Leadership Seminar.

Trey Forsyth, 2016 president of CALS Council, said of Herzberg, "she balanced everything while maintaining a rigorous academic schedule."

Awards are given by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council (CALS Council) and presented at convocation each semester.
