Lauren Dunteman receives special recognition at College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Spring Convocation.

Lauren Dunteman, graduating with a degree in Biology from Iowa State University, was given the outstanding senior award. This award recognizes an individual who encompasses efforts in service, leadership, and scholarship.

Lauren is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Kappa Alpha Theta women's fraternity. She has received numerous scholarships in recognition of her achievements; participated in the University Honors Program and Women in Science and Engineering (WISE); and volunteered at the Wildlife Care Clinic.

“In the midst of all her academic success, Lauren has developed a passion for philanthropy, particularly hunger relief. She used her leadership positions to coordinate an impressive service-learning project involving bringing Meals from the Heartland to campus,” said Edan Lambert, president of CALS Council, “proving she is among the most well-rounded individuals.”

Awards are given by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Student Council with winners receiving recognition at both a senior reception and the college convocation event May 6, 2017 beginning at 8:30 am in Hilton Coliseum.
