Lauren Grant receives award at College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Fall Convocation.

Lauren Grant, graduating with a degree in culinary science from Iowa State University, was given the distinguished service award at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences December 19 convocation. This award is bestowed upon a student who has shown a commitment to community service on and off campus while at ISU.

While at Iowa State, she has been involved in many service activities, including Meal Under the Campanile, Dance Marathon and the Champions are Readers program. Additionally, Lauren is very active in the Pi Beta Phi Fraternity, the Iowa State Daily, and Revival Magazine.

Trey Forsyth, 2016 president of CALS Council, said of Grant, "she has demonstrated exemplary character and integrity, which makes her very deserving of this award."

Awards are given by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council (CALS Council) and presented at convocation each semester.
