Lauren Sendelbach receives CALS Council Senior Award

Lauren Sendelbach, graduating with a degree in Agricultural Business from Iowa State University, received the award for Leadership Excellence from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Student Council. This award is given to a graduating senior based on involvement within clubs and organizations while at Iowa State.

Sendelbach has served as officer of the Agricultural Business Club, a peer mentor for the Agricultural Business Learning Community, and is a student worker in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Career Services Office. During her time on CALS Council, Sendelbach was Chair of 2016 CALS week events.

“Lauren has been involved in so many areas of the college,” said Edan Lambert, 2017 President of CALS Council. Lambert continued, “She really shaped her own adventure, and found unique paths between agriculture and business, guided by the helpful advisers and faculty in agricultural business.”

Award recipients will be recognized at the college convocation event December 16, 2017 beginning at 9:30 am in C.Y. Stephens Auditorium. Presenting the award on behalf of council will be the newly elected CALS Council President, Alex Brand, and Vice President, Wes Reever.
