Perkins goes global in St. John

Derick Perkins, majoring in Horticulture at #IowaState, traveled to St. John with the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Study Abroad office for the USVI semester program.

This program has a mission to integrate gardening education into the Gifft Hill Middle School’s curriculum and future lunch program by installing and managing attractive landscapes for food production, and creating a positive perception of horticulture and environmental science.

The Agriculture Study Abroad Office in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences offers high quality international opportunities to students on all seven continents in a variety of programs open to all students in the college. Programs range in length and intensity of curriculum, and may be led by faculty or through an exchange program.
