Phi Upsilon Omicron Honor Society Initiates Mikaela Lighty at Iowa State University

Mikaela Lighty of Solon, IA (52333), has been initiated into the Phi Upsilon Omicron honor society for students studying family and consumer sciences. Lighty, who is studying event management at Iowa State University, was among new 28 initiates who were inducted into the Omicron chapter at Iowa State University on March 28.

Phi Upsilon Omicron honor society was founded in 1909, and was the first national student organization in family and consumer sciences. Phi Upsilon Omicron promotes academic excellence, develops professional leadership, and encourages professional and personal integrity,
