2016 Feb 29

Reed Burres, Agricultural Business, successfully completed his fall semester of service as a College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Ambassador.

The College of Agriculture & Life Sciences Ambassadors are made up of seven committees and one leadership team. Burres, a member of the Junior Visit Day Committee, attended meetings, planned events, and volunteered at organization events such as Fall Junior Visit Day and Experience Iowa State.

To be selected to serve as an ambassador; students must fill out an application and be chosen from a highly competitive pool of applicants at interviews. To become a returning ambassador, students must commit at least twenty hours of volunteer service to ambassadors.

The mission of the group is to assist with the recruitment of new students to Iowa State University through the sharing of their own experiences. CALS Ambassadors are advised by Dr. Beth Foreman.
