Richter participates in ISU College of Design installation at the 2017 Venice Art Biennale

Jordan Richter from Waukee, IA who is majoring in Integrated Studio Arts, participated in a study abroad experience with the College of Design at Iowa State University traveling to the Venice Art Biennale, October 19-21, 2017. A group of 38 ISU students majoring in Graphic Design, Interior Design, and Integrated Studio Arts developed an installation titled "Joyful Uncertainty" for the Biennale Sessions Workshop. The students created self-portraits using type and/or original imagery on larger-than-life-sized cutout silhouettes. Instructors included Lee Cagley, Professor and Chair of the Department of Interior Design; Brenda Jones, University Professor of Art & Visual Culture; Cheri Ure, Senior Lecturer in Graphic Design; Pia Schneider, Rome Program Resident Director; Simone Bove, Instructor in Interior Design; and Claudia Campone.
