Ryan True named Human Sciences Week 2018 co-chair

Ryan True, an Iowa State University junior in kinesiology and health from Farnhamville, has been selected to co-chair Human Sciences Week 2018. As one of two co-chairs, True will oversee planning, promotion, and actualization of dozens of Human Sciences Week activities.

The weeklong student-run celebration is held each fall to showcase the people and programs of the College of Human Sciences and their success in expanding human potential.

In 2017, more than 20 events were hosted throughout the Human Sciences Week to celebrate human scientists' dedication to improving people's lives in the areas of health and wellness, education and human development, science and technology, and community and entrepreneurship.

Activities at past events have ranged from lunches for hundreds on central campus to academic lectures, a culinary boot camp, and philanthropic fundraisers, such as a popular contest for who gets a pie in the face.
