2018 Mar 2

Ryan True of Farnhamville, IA (50538), received recognition for a 90-second business pitch at the College of Human Sciences pitch-off contest on Feb. 27, 2018. True was a runner up with his "Full Circle Alternative Wellness" business idea, which proposes a holistic, intergenerational wellness center that is tailored to older adults and facilitates human connection and interaction. True is studying kinesiology and health at Iowa State.

This year's pitch-off contest, sponsored by the Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship, marks the first-ever pitch event taking place throughout all seven colleges at Iowa State University. Contestants delivered a 90-second pitch to present and sell their entrepreneurial and innovative idea for either a new business concept, a new product or service idea, or a social entrepreneurship venture. First place contestants will advance to the spring ISU Innovation Pitch contest on March 6, 2018.
