Samantha Roelfs recognized as 2015 Iowa State University College of Human Sciences Student Sensation

Samantha Roelfs of Ackley, Iowa , has been named a College of Human Sciences Student Sensation at Iowa State University. Roelfs is a junior studying elementary education. The College of Human Sciences recognizes 15 young adults as the 2015 Student Sensations for their contributions to expanding human potential and improving people's lives.

Roelfs takes every opportunity to stay involved in her Iowa State community. She’s been a peer mentor for Preparing Tomorrow’s Teachers and Leadership ISU. She’s also served as a Cyclone Aide, and based on her outstanding performance, she was chosen to be a Cyclone Aide Advisor for the College of Human Sciences. She’s a recipient of the 4-year Branstad Scholarship, awarded to one outstanding freshman majoring in education each year. Roelfs has been on the dean’s list since she began her Iowa State adventure. Her compassion for others, her work ethic, and her desire to make a difference will make her an asset in any classroom.
