Taylor Wilkins receives CALS Council Senior Award

2017 Dec 12

Taylor Wilkins, graduating with a degree in Agriculture and Life Sciences Education from Iowa State University, received the award for Outstanding Ambassador of Agriculture and Life Sciences from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Student Council. This award is given to a student showing exceptional effort in building a connection between the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the community.

As a student, Wilkins served as a very active member of the Transfer Student Committee of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Ambassadors.

“I believe that Taylor is known as someone who will throw in a helping hand, whenever needed,” said Dr. Scott Smalley, agricultural education and studies, of his advisee. He continued that as a current student teacher, “Taylor is still promoting the college, being sure to provide any information she can to graduating seniors.”

Award recipients will be recognized at the college convocation event December 16, 2017 beginning at 9:30 am in C.Y. Stephens Auditorium. Presenting the award on behalf of council will be the newly elected CALS Council President, Alex Brand, and Vice President, Wes Reever.
